GREAT COMMISSION PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (G.C.P.C)
Seeking Men and Women for Jesus

WOMEN MINISTRY

OVERVIEW

This is one of the most vibrant ministry group, in GCPC. It was put in place when GCPC was formed so under the guidance of our church vision and mission statement that states “seeking men and women for Christ”, we have been able to adopt it and that is our main purpose and calling as we continue to serve. This inception was under the guidance of our very able Rev Josphat Mwathi and the church board by then 10 years ago. We have three main objectives as we serve women and being Women of Excellence we have been continually serving the Lord under the true living word of God.

OBJECTIVES

1.To build one woman’s life at time. Matthew7:24-27 Traditionally African women were building the houses to live in that was their responsibility and they made sure their houses were firm and stable.  Today women in GCPC women are building their lives in Christ upon the rock who will never be shaken. At the same time women helping other women in the ministry to building relationships, their homes and growing daily from strength to strength in Christ.

2.Proclaim the gospel of Christ Matthew28:19-20 Women have adopted the spirit of “Go ye into the world and proclaim the good news to all people of all walks of live”. This starts from our homes praying and reading the word together with our families. Reaching out to other women in the community and lending a helping hand to the poor, visiting the sick and studying the word together.

3. Living as examples to all in and out of the church parameters, calling it “leave a LEGACY “We are guided by the word in TITUS 2:3-5 Older women are expected to instruct the younger women and teach them how care for their families, teach their children and many other ways of molding accordingly.

At GCPC women ministry it is the place you will be welcomed just as you are and we start from there. We are geared to modeling, molding, and mentoring women from all walks of life. We meet and laugh out loud and have fun as we serve in this ministry. We are women of all ages in this ministry
